RESPONSIBLE TO: Spiritual Guardian

​

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Committed Maltfriscans

 

ROLE PURPOSE

To support the Spiritual Guardian in maintaining the good order of the community, acting as a point of contact for committed Maltfriscans and Enquirers within an agreed geographical area, together with the Novitiate Coordinator.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Spiritual Guardian in maintaining the good order of the community

• Attend management committee meetings (ARM)

• Ensure the community abides by its policies and priorities

• Ensure effective communication with committed members from their area and feed back local views

• Ensure appropriate representation of the community at a local and national level, when required

• Coordinate dates for local meetings

• Take an active role in the planning and organisation of CoM.

PASTORAL CARE AND FORMATION

• Be available to support local activities

• Ensure to reflect the views of local concern accurately

• Ensure appropriate formation within the local area, especially for Enquirers in conjunction with the Novitiate Coordinator

 

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

• Cooperate with the Maltfriscan Community Safeguarding Officer

• Be familiar with and comply with Safeguarding policies and procedures and promote good practice

• Ensure all local activities operate within Safeguarding principles.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church

• A committed Maltfriscan

• A willingness and ability to give suitable time to the responsibilities of the role

• The ability to communicate and relate with respect and ease to children and adults.
