Chapter of Mats Coordinator

RESPONSIBLE TO: Spiritual Guardian

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Committed Maltfriscans

ROLE PURPOSE

Serve the community through taking responsibility for the administration and practical requirements of holding the annual Chapter of Mats residential conference.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Spiritual Guardian in maintaining the good order of the community.
Attend management committee meetings (ARM) where appropriate
Ensure the community abides by its policies and priorities
Undertake all the administration associated with CoM including:
liaison with venue and visits
bookings and finance
practical arrangements
Take a lead role in the coordination and organisation of CoM
Ensure that any risk assessments have been undertaken and appropriate policies and insurance are in place.

PASTORAL CARE AND FORMATION

Be available to support those in attendance
Ensure to respect the needs of the individuals, for example those with additional needs.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

Cooperate with the Maltfriscan Community Safeguarding Officer
Be familiar with and comply with Safeguarding policies and procedures and promote good practice
Ensure appropriate accommodation is provided for under 18s and vulnerable adults.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church
A committed Maltfriscan
A willingness and ability to give suitable time to the responsibilities of the role
The ability to communicate and relate with respect and ease to children and adults
The ability to use appropriate IT packages
Be trustworthy and have discretion when dealing with people.
