Social Media Coordinator

RESPONSIBLE TO: Spiritual Guardian

​

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Committed Maltfriscans

 

ROLE PURPOSE

To co-ordinate and/or assist all social media platforms connected to the Maltfriscan Community including but not limited to Facebook, Youtube and Spotify.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Spiritual Guardian in maintaining the good order of the community. Attend management committee meetings (ARM) where appropriate

Ensure the community abides by its policies and priorities (specifically concerning social media output from the community)

Provide and  update content on all platforms , creating an outward facing  resource for evangelisation and community connections.

Coordinate volunteers where necessary in the community to provide current information and community connection, having oversight of all passwords,  online security etc.

Take an active role in the planning and organisation of COM.

 

PASTORAL CARE AND FORMATION

Actively support those leading and facilitating  MF social media platforms.

Strive to ensure that all Social media platforms  meet the spiritual and liturgical needs of the Rule

Constantly develop and improve good practice and knowledge to better serve the community.

 

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS

Cooperate with the Maltfriscan Community Safeguarding Officer

Be familiar with and comply with Safeguarding policies and procedures and promote good practice.

Ensure all social media output operates  within the Safeguarding principles and practices of the community, (Catholic safeguarding advisory service )

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Be committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church

  • A committed Maltfriscan

  • A willingness and ability to give suitable time to the responsibilities of the role

  • The ability to communicate and relate with respect to members of the community

  • Be familiar with workings of social media platforms

  • Be able to work as a team and delegate responsibilities where appropriate

  • Have relevant experience of social media
